One of the best way to ensure that your wedding pictures are exceptional, unique and memorable is that the groom, the bride and the family members assist the wedding photographer by pointing out what and how exactly to cover events and people in a wedding. Some of the tips that the team at Tower Video and Photo have come up with which help in getting the best wedding photos and video are:
- Plan out the wedding and allocate time for tasks. Take the time to ensure that your (bride and groom) vision of wedding photography matches that of the wedding photographer. Different individuals have different tastes when it comes to styling a wedding. We as professional photographers recognize that.
For example traditionally the portraits are shot after the wedding, but often the guests are awaiting the Bridal Party’s arrival at the Reception, and the portraits become rushed and hurried. This is one of the reason we prefer that the portrait session be done before the wedding; provided the couple if willing to see each other before the ceremony. This ensures that there is time to have the portrait sessions done peacefully and do not have to squeeze time out at the end of the wedding.
If you do intend to do the portrait sessions after the wedding then make sure you set out a separate time for it and inform all of those who are involved about the schedule. For portrait photography typically a half an hour session is required with the couple with half an hour or more for family (depending on the size of the family). Keep a little time buffer between events to ensure that photography sessions can be carried out in a stress free and easy atmosphere for all those involved.
- Let the photographer know of the must have shots. Though the list should not be too extensive it is best to discuss a list of must have shots for the wedding with the photographer. To get the best results give our team a little flexibility to capture the wedding as it happens. Some of the most common wedding shots are:
