If you’re having a wedding during the holiday season, making your own snow globes is a very fun and cost effective way to add décor to your wedding!
All of the items needed for DIY snow globes can be found at a dollar store, or any local supermarket.
What you will need:
- Mason jars
- Hot glue gun
- Figurine (or whatever else you’re putting inside your snow globe)
- Ribbon
- Glitter
- Water
- Baby oil
Start by hot gluing your figurine to the lid of the mason jar. Fill your jar with water, baby oil and glitter. Once your figurine has dried on the lid, screw the lid on as tight as you can. I suggest hot gluing the lid shut, because kids will open anything! If you hot glue the lid shut, you will probably have a glue-y mess. This is where the ribbon comes in! Hot glue the ribbon neatly around the rim of the lid. This will also give your snow globe a more decorated look.
Once everything has dried, you will have a DIY snow globe!
