Here at Tower Studios, we offer a few different video options: the Highlights, the Feature, and the Documentary. We’ve compiled this handy guide to explain their differences, and help you choose which ones will suit you best!
Highlights – The Highlights is a more cinematic style. You pick 1-3 songs and our editors cut the video into a montage that works with the emotional flow of the songs. Fading to black, transitions, and voiceovers are just some of the techniques they use to make the footage dramatic and lively!
The Highlights come in One Song (3 – 6 minute), Two Song (6 – 8 minute), and 3 Song (8 – 11 minute) options. Here is a sample of one of our Highlights Videos: Wedding Highlights.
Feature – The Feature is essentially a longer Highlights video, usually clocking in around 18 – 22 minutes. Usually 5 – 7 songs are necessary to meet the length. Recommended for two-day celebrations, or weddings/receptions with a lot of different events, such as Hindu or Muslim ceremonies. Here is a sample of one of our Feature Videos.
Documentary – The Documentaries are a little more cut and dry. They’re separate videos of each part of the wedding (i.e. the ceremony, the toasts, the special dances) in their entirety, usually filmed from multiple angles and spliced together. Not quite as stylized as the Highlights or the Feature, but they’re good if you’d like to see every moment uncut. Here is a collection of sample Documentary style videos: Documentary Videos.
And you don’t have to pick just one of these! Feel free to mix and match. Whatever you choose, we’ll make it great!
