You definitely want your ceremony to look as beautiful and epic as possible, but did you know your pre-ceremony celebrations can look just as awesome? There are a lot of accessories available that will make your video and photos really pop! Here are a few ideas…
Custom Dress Hanger – For shots of the wedding dress, you’ll want to get a custom hanger. You can have your married name painted onto a wooden hanger, or you can get a metal hanger with a portion of the wire twisted into the shape of your name. Either option looks great, and both look much better than an ordinary wire or plastic hanger!
Custom Cups – While the bridal party is getting ready, they can drink from custom cups! The bride and her bridesmaids usually get tumblers or mimosa glasses with either their monograms or full names on the side. The groom and his groomsmen often get custom flasks. Custom cups are a great way to keep track of whose drink is whose, and they’re more photogenic than a regular glass or solo cup. (Bonus: custom sunglasses on the groomsmen make for some really rad photo opportunities.)
Custom Ring Boxes – Your photographer and videographer will want shots of the rings, and the photos can really pop with custom ring boxes. Online stores sell wooden ring boxes specifically for this purpose. These boxes are big enough for both rings, and you can have “Mr. and Mrs.” painted on the top, or both of your first initials, or your married name!
Your Invitations – It’s good to have one of your wedding invitations ready on the morning of the ceremony. Your videographer and photographer will want to use them in their shots of morning details. They like to get footage/photos of the rings, the invitations, any special bracelets or necklaces, etc. (If you have anything special you’d want included in these shots, such as a family heirloom, be sure to tell them!)
Cuff Links – Often the groomsmen and groom will get custom cuff links. Usually they’re engraved with their initial, but they’re customizable in other ways as well. There are sports and logo cuff links available, and you can even get photos imprinted on them, so the groom could wear a picture from the engagement session, or from another beloved memory with his spouse-to-be.
Socks – It’s always fun when the groomsmen coordinate socks. There are a lot of sweet choices: cool patterns, funny sayings, sports logos, Marvel or Disney images. It’s a quirky and lighthearted way to have some fun at the beginning of the big day, and it makes for some great pictures and video!
This is just scratching the surface of cool trinkets for your wedding day! The best part: all of these things and more can be found on Etsy! Depending on your personality and interests, there are tons of other ways to customize your accessories and make some great memories!
