Everyone loves the wedding dinner staples: chicken, fish, steak, potatoes. But maybe you want to spice things up a little? Here are eight fun snacks to add a little flavor to your reception!
Late Night Pizza – As dancing starts to wind down and the catered food ends, surprise everyone with a pizza delivery! People will appreciate the extra food, and it might lead to a burst of energy for a second wind on the dance floor.
Late Night White Castle – Maybe you and your guests prefer sliders over pizza. Send a trusted member of the wedding party (or place an Uber Eats order) to get Crave Cases for everyone!
Food Truck – If your reception venue allows it, you could always hire a food truck to come hang out in the parking lot. Food trucks are increasingly specialized these days. There are ones that serve tacos, BBQ, hot dogs, Korean food, Thai food, even Balkan food. No matter what you like, there’s probably a food truck that serves it!
S’mores Station – Your guests can make their own s’mores. This is especially fun for fall weddings or outdoor weddings. Prepare a table with graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and whatever else you’d like to see on a s’more. Lay out skewers, napkins, paper plates, and a hibachi grill or something similar. (Alternately, you can put smaller amounts of the materials on each individual table.)
Sundae Bar – A similar concept to the s’mores station, but usually works better for summer weddings. Set up a table with sprinkles, chopped fruit, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and whatever else sounds delicious. Get some small coolers filled with tubs of ice cream. And of course don’t forget bowls, spoons, and scoopers. (And napkins! This can get messy, especially if there are little kids around.) And voila! Your guests are enjoying their own tasty ice cream sundaes.
Ramen Noodles – Ramen bowls are a nutritious dish that’s easy to make! Prepare the eggs, the vegetables, the meats, and put them into their own containers. Get some different broth options. Some noodle packets. Add hot water from a stainless steel portable boiler, and your guests will be chowing down in no time!
Nachos – Even easier to serve than ramen, nachos are a delicious and simple snack your guests will surely appreciate as the night goes on. All you need are chips, dispensers of liquid cheese, and containers of meat and topping options. (Pico de gallo, salsa, jalapeños, you name it.)
Make Your Own Doughnut Station – This is a fun one! Purchase a couple dozen regular doughnuts and let your guests customize them! Put out a couple different flavors of icing, a lot of sprinkles, mini-marshmallows, nuts, jams, M&Ms, even caramel popcorn. Your guests can use their imaginations to come up with some really wild and delicious doughnuts!
Whether you have a sweet tooth, or if you like spicy or savory snacks, or if you prefer DIY or catered food, there’s something here for everyone!
