There are so many different ways for successful relationships to grow. Some couples have more inside jokes than they could count; some share hobbies and interests; others work great as a team. Nathan and Jessica have a quiet, peaceful comfort around each other. It’s hard to put your finger on just what makes their relationship special, but when you see them together in the quiet moments, you realize that they are 100% completely happy and comfortable in each other’s presence.
Their wedding day was a chilly, foggy day in late November. It wasn’t quite winter yet, but autumn was quickly drawing to a close. A dreary day doesn’t seem like great weather for a wedding, but the thick fog over the St. Louis area provided for some really unique photos.
The couple got ready for their big day in guys and girls rooms at the Embassy Suites in St. Charles. Jessica had coordinating flannel pj’s for the girls to stay warm and cozy while they got their hair and make-up done.
The ceremony at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peters was full of smiles. Nathan and Jessica’s quiet happiness could be seen from the back of the church.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to downtown St. Charles and Frontier Park next to the Missouri River for some photos. The girls’ flannel wraps kept them warm while added a pretty detail to the portraits.
Nathan and Jessica then headed down to the Arch for a private portrait session. The fog off of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers gave the photos a mysterious, dreamy feel.
The day ended back at the Embassy Suites for the reception. The toasts from friends and family were even more confirmation that Nathan and Jessica were meant for each other.
The wedding party and guests danced and laughed. Grandma even showed some of her skills on the dance floor! The day was joyful from beginning to end.
