The Bell Tower – The Bell Tower was built in 1874 and originally functioned as a church. It maintains its historic exterior, but the inside has been redesigned into a sleek, elegant event space! Featuring hardwood floors, high ceilings with exposed beams, and an upper level mezzanine, the Bell Tower can hold up to 700 people, making it the largest venue in downtown Nashville. It’s also conveniently located near the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge, which spans the Cumberland River, and is a gorgeous locale for photo opportunities with the couple/wedding party.
The Parthenon– Located in Nashville’s Centennial Park, this is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, Greece, including the 42 foot tall statue of Athena. The Parthenon also functions as an art museum, housing a permanent collection of paintings by some of the greatest artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. With lots of available parking, a capacity of 300+ people, handicap accessibility, and a big dance floor, this is a great place for a wedding!
Cheekwood Gardens – Cheekwood was built in 1929 to be the private estate of the Cheek family. Now, it’s an art museum and botanical garden, featuring 55 acres of flourishing, exquisitely maintained greenery. They have indoor and outdoor ceremony options, and will also let you use their grounds for engagement or bridal photos before the wedding.
Loveless Cafe – Loveless Cafe is a famous Southern-style restaurant that’s been in business since 1951. They’ve been featured on The Today Show, CBS News, and The Martha Stewart Show. They have two events spaces: A rustic dining hall called The Barn, and a smaller, more intimate space called The Harpeth Room, which is located in the original Loveless Cafe Motel dining room. Loveless can provide on-site catering, so you and your guests can enjoy their signature chicken and biscuits after the ceremony!
Country Music Hall of Fame – Located in the heart of Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to the artists and artform that gives Nashville its lifeblood. It contains several theaters, galleries, and events spaces, where you can hold your wedding/reception! They have a very hands-on staff who can help you with whatever you need: Booking talent, creating special lighting, making party favors, whatever you need to have the perfect country-style wedding.
Belle Meade Plantation – Belle Meade Plantation was founded over 200 years ago as a multi-purpose farm. Now, it’s preserved as a museum and educational tours are given daily. The plantation’s sprawling gardens, pathways, porches, and barn make for an interesting wedding location. If you’re looking for a luxurious, historic feel, Belle Meade might be the place for you!
Scarritt Bennett Center – The Scarritt Bennett Center is a nonprofit conference and events space located on the former campus of the Scarritt College for Christian Workers. They have two different chapels with awesome architecture, stained glass, and woodwork; a separate space for bridal preparation and reception; and landscaped grounds for outdoor ceremonies! The Scarritt Bennett organization is dedicated to charity work and activism with a Christian focus, so if a couple shares that interest, then this might be the place for them!
Gaylord Opryland – Gaylord Opryland is a luxury hotel, resort, and convention center right in downtown Nashville. Guests can take advantage of the SoundWaves water park, the Ryman Auditorium, acres of indoor gardens and waterfalls, and numerous restaurants. You have an astonishing 86 event rooms to choose from, and there are custom options that will help you realize every detail of your dream wedding!
Marathon Village – Marathon Village is located in a former gasoline engine factory built in 1884. Their indoor events room features exposed brick, beam, and other rustic features that evoke the early 20th century with a modern spin! They have a spacious dance floor and an excellent view from their myriad windows overlooking the city.
The Bridge Building – The Bridge Building is located right on the Cumberland River waterfront, in a historic structure from 1908. The modernized events space has been recognized as one of the “greenest” buildings in the world. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in a lot of natural light, and lend the proceedings an airy, modern feel. The Bridge Building has many customizable spaces, including a rooftop patio that’s perfect for both ceremonies and dancing late into the night, overlooking the beautiful Nashville skyline.
